Training Packages

There are two national Training Packages for community services and health industry sectors. They are the:

  • Community Services Training Package (national code CHC08)
  • Health Training Package (national code HLT07)

 

The Community Services Training Package & Health Training Package share some competencies across a number of qualifications.  In addition, where relevant, the developers of the Training Packages have imported competencies from other industries training packages e.g. hospitality, transport, business etc.

            

Qualfications in the training packages include pre-vocational training at Certificate I level and Certificate II, III and IV qualfications for entry  level training. Qualifications for more advanced job roles include Diploma and Advanced Diploma as well as Vocational Graduate Certificates and Vocational Graduate Diplomas.

Skill Sets are nationally recognised units of competency or combinations of units of competency which link to a licence or regulatory requirement, or defined industry need.  They are designed to build on a relevant qualification to build on or broaden a candidate's ability to undertake required or additional job roles.
