AGM

Our 2008 Annual General Meeting was very well attended with many members networking over a casual lunch before our forum and formal AGM proceedings.

After a welcome from our outgoing Chair David Lipman, Marie Persson, our guest speaker, presented a stimulating and informative overview of the focus of Skills Australia and TAFE NSW doing business in the 21 century. As Deputy Director-General of TAFE and Community Education and a member of the Skills Australia Board, she offered a firsthand insight into these new and evolving areas.

Lively discussion followed canvassing a breadth of issues including the significance of the workforce capacity building opportunities of the new policies. How do we explore and address the stresses between productivity, training, skills shortages, job opportunities, to create meaningful outcomes work for our workforce?
